Healthy Opinions for you !

I already have and I will continue.. :)

I already have and I will continue.. :)

Its the month of April already and only 5 more days and lectures of year 2 come to an end, which I cannot believe! Where the hell has this year gone? It only seems like yesterday since we started..
I feel my 2nd year of college has been the best so far, way better than first year! I feel I have matured considerably since September and now I have great hopes for the future about my course of health promotion.
In September I will be starting my work experience in St.Vincents Hospital in Dublin and hopefully I will learn new skills that will help me with my final years of college. I hope to also teach others and learn from my skills that I have gained through college and hopefully put my theory into practice.
I think my modules this semester will help me greatly in September and I hope that undergoing practical media skills will help me introduce health through a different perspective to others through the media if possible.
Active citizenship has made me the person that I am today as I have gained great experience of volunteering with Talk to Tom and hopefully my knowledge that I have gained from volunteering will increase my aware of others and help others along their way when coping with their life challenges.
Not everyone has the same future…So go plan what you want to do, to make the most of it!

Do people ever ask you “how you today ? ”
And your initial reply is “ah im fine “

Do you ever look behind to what your actually after replying ?
Fine really means…fucked up insecure neurotic and emotional !

So the next time someone asks how you are …think about what you say and make sure to not say FINE !

There are better ways to describe how you are feeling so make the most of it !

"Im feeling great today thanks ".

looking back on my voluntary work, I finally found the song that was bet into my brain everyday while volunteering!

I must say it brings back memories and memories from my voluntary work with talk to tom.

The music played in the shop seemed to bring some people back to their past as one women approached me talking about how her memories came flooding back from her teenage years while in the shop listening to wee Daniel O Donnell! I was totally amazed by this woman as it was like as if she just wanted someone to talk to.

While talking to this woman about her teenage years all I could see was her trying to hold her tears back as it must of meant so much to her. It was like as if her memories came flooding back to her all at once. After the woman left the shop my one regret was not catching her name.

From every person that walked through the door this woman was the one person that stuck out at me and if I seen her on the street I would know her to see in a blink of an eye.

This woman really made my day and if I met people like this every day it would be a great experience to me as the minute I came home from finishing up, the first thing I told my family was about this woman talking to me about her teenage years.

Sometimes you just have the walk to track to find your destination.
If you don’t find it, keep walking.
but you will get there in the end.
If you don’t get there,
its not the end.

"Mental health doesn’t have a limp, you cant see it"

mental health in Ireland is dramatically on the rise and while studying for my mental health and wellness exam next week I came across this. It is a very powerful video to watch but is very inspirational the same time.

Please take some time to watch this and it means a lot.

just remember “Its ok, not to be ok”.
